The Australian sixpence was first minted in England from 1910 to 1914, before Australia started producing most of it's own from 1916 onwards at Melbourne and Sydney mints.
The 1910 sixpence featured King Edward VII on the obverse. After KEVII's death King George V became monarch of the empire, as such his images are on the obverse from 1911 until 1936, when KGV's reign ended.
All Australian sixpence feature the Australian Coat of Arms (as supplied by KEVII in 1908) on the reverse.
Most of the KGV era sixpence were fairly low mintage, with scarcer dates including 1918, 1922, 1924, 1935.
Dates not minted (KGV era): 1913, 1915, 1929, 1930, 1931, 1932, 1933.
Mintage: 3,046,000
RRP Value: $9 - $43
