1921 m
1921 m Australian Threepence
Minted in Melbourne, Australia.
The obverse, (heads), has a denticalled outer rim and features the image of Australia's, (England's), Monarch at the time, King George V facing to the left, with the legend reading the Latin "GEORGIVS V D.G. BRITT: OMN: REX F.D. IND: IMP:"
This translates roughly to "George V, by the grace of God, King of all Britons, defender of the faith,
Emperor of India"
The reverse, (tails), has a denticalled rim and features the Australian Coat of Arms as issued by KEVII in 1908, with the words "ADVANCE AUSTRALIA" in a scroll at the base of the Coat of Arms, "THREEPENCE" above the Coat of Arms, and the date underneath with ornaments either side.
The 'M' mintmark used by Melbourne Mint is located underneath the date on some 1921 threepence coins, while others do not have the mintmark, however were still minted in Melbourne.
The estimated values above are based on a combination of published guides, recent sales, projected values, and a variety of other sources.
